Giuseppe Milici, Lucia Garsia e OJS “Tribute to Bacharach”
direction Domenico Riina

A tribute to the great american artist, with the voice of Lucia Garsia, with the harmonica of Giuseppe Milici and the sounds of the Sicilian Jazz Orchestra (Orchestra Jazz Siciliana) conducted by Maestro Domenico Riina.

With this concert the string that unites the repertoire of Burt Bacharach, the voice of Lucia Garsia and the sonorities of the OJS (Sicilian Jazz Orchestra), strengthens up. A bond which had already expressed itself in 2012 at the Verdura Theater (Teatro di Verdura), in 2015 at the Blue Brass of the Spasimo, and the last summer at the Greek Theater of Tindari (Teatro Greco di Tindari).

The songs of Bacharach, articulate the most refined, melodic and emotionanal side of pop music worldwide, they are sung by the most extraordinary artists, they are continually transformed in splendid classics of jazz music (the first ones were Stan Getz, Cal Tjader and Wes Montgomery) and everyone of them has a place of respect in the narrow Olympus of timeless masterpieces: “Walk on by”, “Do you know the way to San Josè”, “The look of love”, “I say a little prayer”, “Close to you”, “A house is not a home”, “Waiting for Charlie (to come home)”, “Alfie”
